Issue 7, a combined 4.9-mill operating levy and $273.5 million bond, failed 51% to 49% in unofficial results. The bond would have replaced a preschool and two middle schools, including Jones Middle School. The district has not yet said what comes next.

Issue 34 passed with about 60% in unofficial results. It renews the 0.89-mill levy and adds 0.24 mills, raising about $2.2 million a year toward the city's required police and fire pension payments. The city estimated about $26 a year per $100,000 of home value before credits.
